Refurbished MBraun SPS 5 Solvent Purification System DOM 2022

The unit was previously owned by a chemical company. Three channels were used to purify hexane, and two were used to purify toluene. We have completely cleaned the system, so it is now ready for any solvent(s). The work we have performed includes

• All solvents were discharged from the columns
• The entire set of solvent lines was taken apart. Absorbents in all columns were removed
• All solvent lines and components (including solvent kegs and purification columns) that were in contact with solvents were thoroughly rinsed sequentially with isopropyl alcohol and distilled water. The solvent lines were then blown dry.
• All particle filters were blown clean
• The system was pressurized to 10 PSI. With the gas input source closed, no drop in pressure is observed within 1 hour, suggesting a low leak rate.

The listed price is for the system with empty purification columns. For refilling of the purification columns, the buyer is recommended to choose the following options:

• Buy prefilled columns from MBraun, or buy absorbents from MBraun and activate them yourself. This is likely the most expensive option
• Use brand new, activated absorbent from us. Please contact us for the options for the absorbents
• Use pre-owned, re-activated absorbent from us. Although regeneration restores the purification capability, the previous solvent may not be completely purged. It is recommended that the buyer use the absorbent for the same solvent that it was previous used for to prevent cross-contamination. For instance, the buyer may use the regenerated absorbent we recovered for toluene cleaning for toluene.

The buyer is welcome to choose a combination of the options. If the latter two options were chosen, the columns will be prefilled and ready to use upon delivery. Please expect 5 to 6 weeks of lead time.
