This metallographic balanced polishing stand, equipped with a counterweight sleeve and a handheld auxiliary set, is primarily used for the pre-treatment of samples. Its purpose is to ensure the flatness of the sample surface during the grinding and polishing process.
- Construction: It consists of an outer sleeve and a counterweight block.
- Material: Made from durable and wear-resistant stainless steel for ease of use.
- Design Feature: One end of the counterweight block has an added brim with a diameter matching the outer sleeve. This allows the user to easily lift the counterweight along with the sleeve during polishing to quickly observe the sample's progress.
Instructions for Use

Fixing the Sample: Secure the specimen to be polished under the counterweight pillar.
- Tip: For flat, sheet-like samples, double-sided tape can be used (or any other reliable method that suits your needs).
- Polishing: The sample is polished under the pressure of the counterweight's own weight. This ensures surface flatness without the need for external force.
- Operation: The outer sleeve should be allowed to drop naturally; hold the outer sleeve by hand to maintain balance.
- Observation: If you need to check the sample during the process, simply lift the outer sleeve together with the counterweight.
- Maintenance: After use, the device can be cleaned, wiped dry, and stored in a dry place.
