The TURBO 60G is a compact, air cooled, portable turbo pump package. This fully integrated 35 lb. package includes a 60 L/SEC hybrid turbo molecular pump, an oil-free backing pump, automatic valving, and a control module. Operation is automatic and interlocked, and the TURBO 60G is not adversely affected by operator error or power failure.

Technical Notes

We opened up the pump heads of the diaphragm pump and cleaned the diaphragm and the valves. The ultimate vacuum of the diaphragm was measured to be 4 Torr, which meets factory specs. The turbo pump runs quietly, and the system was able to pull below 3.7x10^-5 Torr, which is lower limit of our test gauge. See video for more details.
