The unit features automated sample handling of up to 20 samples at once and on-board statistical analysis (mean, standard deviation, and coefficient of variation functions). An integral microprocessor automatically makes calibration adjustments at the push of a button. Software upgrades can be easily uploaded via the integral RS-232 interface port.

Results are obtained by using the freezing-point depression method, which determines total concentration. The on-board printer connects easily to an external printer, computer, or barcode scanner. Instrument memory allows electronic storage and retrieval of up to 200 test results.
