he Eppendorf 5702R Refrigerated Centrifuge w/ Selectable Rotor has a maximum speed of 4,400 rotations per minute, and a maximum g-force of 3,000 x g (RCF). The Eppendorf 5702R has a maximum capacity of 4 x 100ml samples and a timer with a time range between 1 and 99 minutes, with a continuous setting as well. Temperatures from -9C to +40C. With a relatively small footprint, the Eppendorf 5702R benchtop centrifuge can be used in a variety of applications without taking up valuable countertop real estate. The 5702R has a total weight of only 84 pounds, and a maximum height (lid open) of 20.7 inches, making it perfect for under the shelf usage. The 5702R can be used in a range of settings, from clinical to cell culture labs. 

Technical Notes

The unit powers on. All buttons are responsive. The lid lock mechanism works. We did a test run at the highest rpm of 4400 and the lowest temperature of -9 °C. The unit runs fairly quietly. The chamber reached -9 °C within a reasonable amount of time

Defects

The spring that pops and holds the lid is not working. The user needs to hold the lid to prevent it from dropping when opened. Minor scuffs and scratches on the housing.
